Cloud mining contracts explained

A cloud mining contract is the agreement that defines how much hashrate you rent, for how long, at what price and under which rules you can withdraw. The terms matter more than the marketing.

Contract types

Monthly memberships renew until you cancel. Fixed-term contracts run for a set period. Lifetime contracts claim to last forever, which is a warning sign because hardware ages and difficulty rises.

Costs to look for

Check the upfront price, any maintenance or electricity fee charged on top, and any fee on withdrawals.

Withdrawal rules

Look for a minimum withdrawal, review times, identity checks and network fees. These decide how easily you can access what you mine.

Cancellation

You should be able to cancel and keep access until the end of the paid period. A provider that makes cancelling hard is a red flag.

Frequently asked questions

Are lifetime contracts safe?

Treat them with caution. Mining hardware does not last forever.

Where are the terms?

On the provider's Terms page, which you should read before paying.
